The power cut

This morning we had a power cut. Not a long one but long enough deem it worthy of toddler interest.

Not because mummy and daddy couldn’t have a shower or do the washing up or get anything out of the washing machine or make a hot drink.

There was brief concern that the television might not work eight hours later in the day. There were two toddlers exploring the downstairs of the house investigating what used electricity. For about five minutes.

And then they went back to what they had been doing; playing with Lego.

The power being out pretty much stopped everything the husband and I were trying to do. It didn’t really have any impact on the little ones.

Perhaps it’s time to look at life as a toddler again…
